Rochdale is a large town situated on the River Roch in Greater Manchester. It has a total population of 95,796. Amongst one of the first industrialised towns, Rochdale’s 19th century domination of textile manufacture is well documented. Today, the town is best known as the birthplace of the Co-operative Movement. Rochdale’s landmarks include Rochdale Town Hall and the War Memorial.
